Waterford All-Ireland Senior Hurling Champions 1959

£120.00

This Plaque is individually made by Crafts men for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Champions of 1959 – Waterford, with a Hand Painted crest in cold cast Bronze and a Painting of the Team by Brian O’Flaherty.

Waterford were worthy winners of the 1959 Hurling championship which was described, at the time, as the best ever since the competition began in 1987. In the replaced final they gave a lesson in power packed hurling to the Kilkenny men. The Liam McCarthy cup was marched down through Kilkenny and over the River Suir at Waterford bridge by the Decies man to a wonderful reception from jubilant fans.
