1996 All-Ireland Football Final: Meath v Mayo (Replay)


Two teams who have come from nowhere. Reconstructed by Seán Boylan, Meath have defeated champions Dublin and favourites Tyrone on the way to this year’s final. Under new manager John Maughan Mayo have revived beyond recognition. Having campaigned in Division Three of the National League, they have reached the All-Ireland final by defeating hot favourites Kerry.
