Royal Troon is one of the great championship venues and recognized as one of the sternest tests on the Open Golf rota. The signature hole is ‘The Postage Stamp’ (8th hole). Only 25ft across and usually played into the teeth of the wind! Gene Sarazen recorded a famous hole in one in the 1973 Open.
