Leeds United Past and Present

In the late ’60’s and early ”70’s, Leeds United dominated European Football. During that glorious period, the club were twice League Champions, won the FA Cup and League Cup and clinched the European Fairs Cup. After that, there was a lull in their performance until Don Revie with the help of Bobby Collins, Billy Bremner and Jackie Charlton achieved promotion to 1st Division in 1964.
From then, Leeds languished in the 2nd Division for a number of years, but the arrival of Howard Wilkinson sparked a revival and regained League Championship ’91-92.
Peter Deighan’s painting of the team depicts them throughout this period. Published in a single limited edition of only 500 worldwide, each print is individually numbered and signed by Peter Deighan, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
