2004 All-Ireland Hurling Final: Cork v Kilkenny

A truly momentous final. Kilkenny chase the county’s first three-in-row in 90 years and with it the chance to move ahead of Cork in hurling’s roll of honour. Cork have recovered well from the epic Munster final defeat by Waterford and have the great Brian Corcoran returned from retirement. Kilkenny have been more fitful but gave the season’s most devastating display in destroying League winners Galway. It’s also the first All-Ireland between counties already defeated in the championship but this is the match that will define both their season and their place history. Cork 0-17 Kilkenny 0-09
