Galway have never beaten Cork in a final but Cyril Farrell’s team are hot favourites for this. The county’s best hurling team in history they are in pursuit of a third All-Ireland in four years. Cork however have ambushed defending champions Tipperary in a memorable Munster final. This final turns out to be a classic and one of the highest-scoring in history, featuring a master class from Galway’s Joe Cooney.
