Meath All-Ireland Senior Football Champions 1996
£120.00
This Plaque is individually made by Crafts men for the All-Ireland Senior Football Champions of 1996 – Meath, with a Hand Painted crest in cold cast Bronze and a Painting of the Team by Brian O’Flaherty.
Meath, the great escapologist of Gaelic football, performed the most stunning Houdini act of all when stealing the 1996 All-Ireland final replay from the meandering men of Mayo to take the Sam Maguire Cup for the sixth time. In the drawn tie Sean Boylan’s young side turned in a moderate display and survived but in the rematch they repeated the act and came away as sensational victors.
