Jenny Pitman Tribute
£39.50
National Hunt trainer Jenny Pitman, one of the best known figures in the world of racing and the first woman to train a Grand National winner. Jenny awarded an OBE for services to racing, has sent out numerous winners at Cheltenham in the past and won the Gold Cup twice. But she is best known for her exploits at Aintree.
Her landmark Grand National success came in 1983 when she sent out Corbiere to victory, and she won the world’s most famous chase for a second time with Royal Athlete in 1995.
Jenny also suffered the cruelest of fates in 1993 when her horse Esha Ness won “the National that never was”, coming home first after the race was declared void following a false start. Published in a single limited edition of only 300 worldwide, each print is individually numbered and signed by Peter Deighan, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
