High Chaparral, ridden by Michael Kinane, won the Irish Derby at The Curragh in Dublin, leading home a 1-2-3 finish for the trainer Aidan O’Brien.
The colt, a 1-3 favorite, completed a major double, having won the Epsom Derby three weekends before.

High Chaparral became the 15th colt to complete the Epsom-Irish Derby double and it was the second year in succession Kinane and O’Brien had achieved the feat, following Galileo in 2001. Published in a single limited edition of only 500 worldwide, each print is individually numbered and signed by Peter Deighan, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
