2009 All-Ireland Football Final: Kerry v Cork

£12.95

Croke Park, 20 September 2009

Kerry, under Jack O’Connor, started the 2009 football year in a very positive manner by capturing the National League title but their Championship run has been less impressive. A topsy-turvy campaign saw them lose to Cork in Munster, survive a real scare against Sligo, a supreme performance against Dublin and a then a semi-final win over Meath gets them back in Croke Park on final day. Cork, with Conor Counihan in charge, have been much more consistent and impressive in their campaign and are in final on real merit having beaten both Kerry and Tyrone on the way. But facing arch rivals Kerry again in the final means that performances to date will count for little when the showdown begins. Kerry 0-16 Cork 1-09
